El Dorado

Granted, I have a new boat and do not know the lake, but I've been out 4 times in the last 2 weeks without any luck...at all. Not whining because it's been fun, but my wife is starting to make fun of me! Is anyone doing any good?

Had a guide trip on Sat and Sun. We had some nice females on both days. Really had to work for them. Fish were in 4-10 FOW and water temp was 53. Wind really made it hard to fish on Saturday but we strolled the banks and found them. Here is a picture of two very nice fish caught on Sunday. This was my customers first crappie and man was it a biggin.... 15 and 14 inchers... Great day until the storm came in and ran us off.. Thanks to my Lowrance LWX-1 Sirius Satellite Weather, we were able to get off the lake before the lighting, wind and rain came.

You always catch really nice fish wheather it's crappie or wallys and give us some good info. ( like finding them in 4-10fow when the temp is in the low 50's?) Thanks for great pics. and report. :cheers2

So we were at El Dorado this past yesterday, sitting on the bank just a bit east of the dam on the south bank (we picked that spot to help shield the wicked wind we had this weekend from the south). After having NO luck with catfish (fished for about 7-8 hours), we decided to drive through the park. We are very unfamiliar with it, so we thought we'd just "explore" a little bit. We went to the entrance off of 177 and as we were checking out the camp sites, in the water north of the first loop of sites, I saw a ton of trees sticking up out of the water - near the end of the middle channel. It looked kinda promising, so I dug out a small white jig, redid my line, and casted it from the bank. Caught a 11" or so wiper, obviously too small to keep, but I was really after some crappie (my line was already heavy - 15lb test for catfish - so I could have easily missed a few bites...). Sorry to ramble - my question is about the submerged trees all through there. They just look like a great spot for crappie (once I get my little jon boat fixed, that is) - any thoughts?
