Thursday Report

Started at noon again, in an attempt to let water warm up. It worked till about 4 pm when clouds and cold wind dropped temps 10 degrees and the fish just shut down. All C & R today with 16 crappie and 11 LGMouth. Good fun and great clients.

Nice looking fish, Capt.! Ive got a couple quick questions for you....Im fairly new to crappie fishing on the potomac. Are you generally fishing with small jigs/tubes/etc? Do you tip them with minnows? or just nothing. Not looking for your secret techniques, just some general guidance. Thanks in advance for any advice.

No jigs just hook and bobber. Bait is shiners .

Med to large shiners work best for me.

Heh Capt. Mike. Nice report and pictures. Do you catch any white crappie over your way or all black crappie?

We get a white now and then in MD. I get a lot more in DC BTW.
