Today on Gillham lake

It was tough for the most part and between trying to catch bass or crappie it took us all day long but finally just before dark we managed 12 black crappie. All were big and they were in fairly shallow water so that was good. I got to break in my new b&m pole too. We found them at the mouth of a cove, up river off the river channel on a shallow flat cranking black/chart grubs. I know tomorrow is calling for rain and I'm busy til noon but after that I thought about picking up some minners and meeting my fishing partner back on the lake.
