So what kindda rain gear do y'all use? Tried Friday to fish in the rain, took my rainsuit with me, and my arm was drenched 15 minutes later, and bout froze to death. It was only the second time I'd had the stuff out, so Im in the market for some good stuff. I'll just go ahead and let ya know, the "Master Sportsman,Rugged Outdoor gear, by Prestige", aint worth a dern.
I bought some Frogg Toggs last week and they kept me dry all day in some pretty heavy rain.

I got a 100 mph suit made by BPS and it keep me dry Saturday in the rain.
After getting totally soaked by those paper thin Frog Toggs, twice, and even spraying them with waterproofing treatment twice, I threw them in the trash.
I found some off-season, heavy duty rain gear at Sportsmans Guide for way cheaper than most.......and it is warm and dry. There's a lot of GOOD raingear out there, though..........just not cheap. I THINK it's these, or close to it:

BPS Bone Dry. I have had them for 4 years now and fish in the rain all the time. this last time I got a damp spot on my rear from water in my seat. I will waterproof them this week. In my opinion rain gear is like a good fishing rod. If you are going to fish with it get the best you can.
Cabelas Guide Wear insulated for cold weather, and gonna get a set of the non insulated for warmer weather. The best I've ever used. I hear the Arctic Armor is killer stuff, and it has floatation built in it. The BPS 100 mph stuff is nice also. All of these brands use Gortex instead of the other, lesser expensive water proofing that wears off, or wears out like the Frogg Toggs, which I have also for warmer weather stuff.

I have the green BP 100mph bibs and parka. The parka gets hot quick in warmer weather. I haven't got the zip in jacket liner yet, not sure if I will. I use a columbia thunderstorm jacket for warmer weather.
The 2012 and earlier model 100mph bibs don't have a fly zipper. They still have many 2012's in stock, so look / ask for the 2013 bibs, they're mixed in with the 2012's right now. The fly zipper is a must IMO.
If you'da made the call, I would have stood behind you and held an umbrella.
Go by magor bills in Jonesboro,you can fish in down pours and stay dry.
I had Cabella's Guidewear at the Crappie Masters monsoon on Beaver Saturday and did not get a drop on me. I have fished in the COLD rain with them a few times and never got cold or wet. Great stuff, but get ready to pay.
