I think I'm going to give lake Hogue a shot in the morning. Maybe we can boat a few before the rain rolls in.
Any good reports would be appreciated. I'll pass on the hard luck stories, I've got enough of those on my own.:banghead

Wear 'em out!
I ain't heard nothing good or bad.... Let us know
I'll be there Sunday morning. I can't give any advice, because I haven't figured them out yet this year. All I can say is they seem to prefer a blue/chartreuse jig fished around 3-4' deep over all the other colors I've tried. Seem to catch bigger fish on the west side of the lake last few times I went. It may have changed since then. Its been about a week and a half since I've been there.
How did you do?
Check out the deep water in front of the fishing peer
We fished the deep water around the edges from daylight until the rain moved in at 11:00. We caught 3 small bass, no crappie. :(
Lots of fish on the graph in 10 fow about 6' deep but they seemed to have lockjaw.
I'm thinking I may go back this Saturday afternoon and try again.
We were mostly casting roadrunners with minnow trailers. The little bass that we caught were caught on dark bodies (black and pumpkin seed) with chartreuse tails.
I went sunday. Caught around 20 crappie, but only kept 11. Fishing in the the middle of the lake about 3-4 ft deep with chartreuse jigs with blue flakes. Ill be there again saturday.
