Transducer mounting

I have a bass hound 9.4 (2013 Bass Hound 904 Fishing Boat) and I'm looking to mount hb 346 di on it. I can mount the unit in the rear of the boat the plastic it about 1/4 inch thick with some self tappers and marine goop but my issues lay with the transducer. There's a spot to mount on the outside of the transom but it goes in and out of my truck bed and there's a chance of it being damaged, I'd mount it to the trolling motor but I do fish lakes tht are rowboat only. Any suggestions? Thanks

I thought about that but the boats made of hpde which is super slippery, I wouldn't want to really have to keep adjusting it, also that one isn't made for the down imaging maybe they make one for that

I used to have a two-man boat for the strip pits, and I built a rig to clamp on the rear motor mount that was sort of like a TM without a motor. I ran my TM on the front mount so the rear one was empty.

I used a C-clamp and welded a piece of 3/4" conduit a couple feet long to it so the clamp went on the motor mount and held the conduit vertical. I used a small U-bolt to connect the transducer bracket to the conduit. On or off in 5 seconds.

I did almost the same thing as Catfan but I used a piece of 3/4" pvc pipe instead to keep it lighter. I heated the pipe and bent it to a 90 degree angle and mounted the transducer to the short horizontal end and cut the verticle end to the length I wanted and clamped it to the built in boat carrying handle with a couple of large radiator hose clamps which allowed me to just slip it in and out of the clamps to install or remove it. And I just ran the cable down the pvc and zip tied it in place. Worked real well. This wouldn't work if you got the boat up to any speed but with just a small TM on my 9 foot 2 man boat it was plenty solid enough.

I like your idea Kenny plus if I don't like it or its needs modification, pvc is dirt cheap I actually have bits and pieces of 3/4 left over from a job. Thanks for the ideas guys
