Pretty new to crappie fishing
My brother and I have started crappie fishing with both rod/reel and floating yoyos. Only been to Lake Overcup. Been out several times. Dumb questions but we've fished shallow to 14 feet and can't zero in on even a nibble. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If u launch from the game and fish launch next to the ol dock that rents boat, go out about 200-250 yds and there is a ditch that zig zags across the flat. I used to find the crappie along that ditch on overcup in the spring. I think a lot of catching crappie is knowing the water. That flat was 4-5ft deep and i fished jigs under a cork 3 ft deep. Spend a day learning the lake with your graph.

Thanks for some the tips and welcome. I'm definitely not looking for anyone's honey hole or anything like that. I'm just trying to figure what depth they are likely to be at this time of year. We saw the majority of fish while on 14-15 ft of water with the fish suspended at about 9 feet on avg on the graph. But we've yet to get them to do anything.
