I have a 250 gallon tank I keep my minners in at our house in Mississippi.
Last year we didn't have any issues with them dying, and it was warmer than this year, and now this year I throw two pounds in the tank and I'm having a dozen or so die a day. Not looking forward to seeing the casualties this weekend.
I had rather feed them to the feshes.
Is there anything I can do to put oxygen in the water without leaving the power on?

Is it water from last year?
Did you wash the tank with soap?
Is it fresh filtered water?
Is it fresh unfiltered from the tap?
Did you add any water treatment?
Should have clarified. Last year I could keep minners for 2 or 3 days in my minner bucket but couldn't keep em alive one day this past weekend. Must be a week batch

Drained the tank last year, it sit all winter empty with drain open.
I did not wash it out with soap, I did rinse it out, but thought I maybe should have bleached it like you do a live well.
It was water out of the tap and I did put the chlorine remover, blue stuff in it before putting them in it. I did that last week with the first pound I bought.

Replace one third of the water every day and replace with water using an rv filter and forget all the fancy chemicals. The RV filter removes 15 different chemicals instantly. Also feed them with el-cheapo fish food from Walmart.

Can't really tell if it was the older ones or the new ones that died, or all of them?
