Howdy ... Intro

Howdy, I'm Jim, currently living in Texas but will be moving to the Hot Springs area soon. Looking forward to spending some time on the water.

I am 53, married, with 5 grown kids between us. Air Force veteran and 3 of my sons are veterans, 2-USAF and 1-USMC. I call Kansas home, but have lived all over the south and west, even a couple of years in Germany for Uncle Sam. Both of my folks are from White County, so I have Arkansas roots too.

Is anyone here in the Hot Springs area? I have been up there for work almost weekly for the last year and a half. I know the area fairly well, but can't decide where we want to live. Right now I'm thinking Hot Springs Village, because of all the lakes and fishing opportunities. Lake Hamilton doesn't really appeal to me, too many water bugs (boat traffic, jet ski's, etc).

Also, wondering who your favorite marine dealer is? I will be buying a small deep V fishing boat once we're settled.
