I know they are no where near crappie, but they are fish and they pull hard and are starting to bite up the creek! Took me about 2 hours to catch 10 and the last 6 came in about 30 minutes. Unfortunately I had to go, the bite seemed to be picking up.

WTG! Looks like fun. I am not real predjudice when catching fish. Like I've said before I love to feel the thump and fish on the line. If I had to choose fishing or eating fish , I'd buy alot less corn meal.:twocents

It was just the excuse I needed to get a new electric fillet knife. I didn't realize until I used the new one how bad my old one had gotten.
You will not get an argument from me!! I learned on Greer's Ferry a couple of years ago to speed up my presentation when pulling crappie jigs. I couldn't get them to hit anything and found out by accident they like it fast. I am not prejudiced toward eating them neither. I just cut the red stuff out of the filets.

Got 6 more yesterday and my buddy caught 4, a lot harder work to get them to bite despite the amazing weather.

Those Whites in that creek are fun to catch.
A friend wanted to fish for them today on Maumelle so we went. Caught a mess of big ones with ultra light spinning. FUN!
I like catching any fish thats pretty good for eating
