I'm coming down in a couple weeks. I don't have any high tech electronics or anything. Just wondering if I could get some advice on where would be the best place to fish for crappie??? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!!

It would help to know where you are coming down to (what part of the state). A couple of weeks is a long time, when you consider how fickle the weather can be this time of year.
The better (easier) fishing should probably be in the smaller lakes (that warm faster) or the more southern/western ones.
I'd fish on the northern, rocky banks, that had some wood cover (visible or submerged) ... in the less than 20' depth range. Water temps should be approaching the 50deg range by then (weather permitting).

Water temp is about 47° right now...
Depending on how much warm weather we get, the water temp could easily hit 55° (or more) in 2 weeks...
This would put the blacks on the banks and the whites staging out a little deeper...
If it stays cold or we get a lot of cold rain, it could slow this progressive fish movement down...

If you're talking about coming to Kentucky Lake, you might consider getting a guide one of the first days you're here. He, or she will teach you some techniques, and show you the kind of spots that are productive. That way you will have a better idea about what to do on your own. Ky Lake is a BIG place and can be intimidating. Enjoy and Good Luck
:hesaid especially if it's your first time the best place to fish for Crappie is in the back seat of a boat with a guide up front.
Thanks for all the feedback. Every little bit helps. Thanks again
diffently get a guide if your on new body of water if you want to make the most of your time at the lake. if not search and distroy method works. spider rigging or float and drag the meat!!!
