Hi everyone. Been a lurker on here for a while and decided I needed to go ahead and join up. I was born and raised in the small city of Kilgore, Texas and have fished all my life. During the summers growing up, I would wake up, fix a lunch, grab a pole and start walking through the woods, pond and creek hopping. It was always bass fishing except with my grandpa. He had an old Hustler Stick Steer and we caught many a catfish out of it. My uncle introduced me to Crappie fishing and I was HOOKED! I bought some ultralight gear and never looked back. I'm a disable vet and served 3 years in the US Army with multiple deployments, the last being in Iraq from 2003-2004. I have worked undercover narcotics and, up until 3 years ago, was a commercial helicopter pilot when I got sick. I have Progressive-Relapsing Multiple Sclerosis so that ended my flying career. I now work in oilfield sales and fish/hunt whenever I can.
