I was fueling up yesterday when a car pulled up on the other side of the pump I was using. I heard a young lady say "can you come here? I got to axed you a quorston". I am thinking "oh boy here we go". But, I said
"I would rather you come on this side to ask me a question".
She said "I was wondering if you could pump a few gallons into my car?"
"Now why would I want to do that? Where are you going?
The story was...they had been to her husband's auntie's house in Arkadelphia to take care of her in her last days. She up and died and now they need to get home in Mariana.
I told them "it troubles me that yall can smoke. But, you can't buy your gas"
"Well these smokes were left over from my auntie".
I told them I would like to trade them 2 gallons of gas for 3 cigarettes. The deal was made they gave me the smokes as I was pumping the gas. When I finished, I crumbled up the cigarettes and scattered them on the drive.
After calling me and my mother everything you can imagine they asked why I did that.
Simple "I don't smoke. But, if you can afford to smoke, you should be able to buy your gas."
The guy with me said that would have blown you tube up if it was recorded.

Typical, do something nice for somebody and they crap on you. They didnt want a lesson DP, they just wanted "free." The only language some people understand.

I work in West LR and one night after midnight, I was gassing up my truck, and I notice this feller driving around. So he comes to me and says can I put a dollar or 2 in his car so he can make it home. I told him that his dollar or 2 was his last five minutes of driving around trying to bum gas off other folks! He started reaching for his center console and I slid my jacket over so he could see i already had my holster unbuttoned. Needless to say, he went on about his business.

You done weill D.P. Great story, I will ave to try that the next time a bum comes my way. You might also make them listen to a 15 minute testimony of the Gospel.

I've been approached by a guy in a suit in Baseline gas station (Little Rock) before say'n he was a preacher try'n to get home. Said I could call his secretary and verify, would send a check later if I'd buy his gas. Too many scammers looking for free gas . I ain't no bank or charity , shure try not to be a fool. Daddy always said a fool and his money were soon departed.

That poor sole has a hard time keeping up with business because his employees do not come to work. I trade at this place almost daily.

If they were her not her cigs, then you shoulda "axed" for the rest of the pack.

I probably wouldn't have thrown them down in front of them but put them in trash after they left.
