Barren River

Anyone have a report on the water conditions at Barren?

Thinking about making a trip down Sunday.

Fished today, (peters creek) lake is up from winter pool probably 2 1/2-3' and muddy. Water temps were 43-45 degrees. Fishing was slow for us, only managed 5 keepers and 15 or so throwbacks. Talked with two other boats who were spider rigging, they weren't fairing any better. Tough conditions right now for sure, but I guess could change with the water warming this weekend. Heavy rain 1-2" forecast for Sunday-Monday probably will not help. Good luck if you go.

Thanks for the update Badbrad. With that being the case I may just stay at the house and get something done around here. Will wait until next weekend and try some longlining at Kentucky Lake.
