Anyone know specifically what kind of Bluegill this is. It came out of the water while pulling up a boat anchor with all the weeds and muck down here in Florida.

Looks like someone dumped their aquarium fish in your lake. Lot of that happening. Maybe a cross breed?

Google "flier", basically a cross between a crappie and sunfish family, very strong fighters(ala Bluegill) but they don't attain much size(5 - 10"). I've caught around 5 while living in MD., but only in specific lakes, go figure.
