Little crankbaits
Sweet collection. Have you had any luck with those grasshoppers? I have a couple that I have never had in the water.

Yes,they catch everything even the red ant will catch everything..Fish eat alot of bugs, its the reason you don't see alot of bugs on the water, fish eat up.

I guess I never thought of using such baits for crappie. Those small crawdads are deadly on Brownies and Kentuckys.
-
Get you some Yum 2" crawdads (soft plactic) on a walking jighead and hang on while the crappie try to take the pole from you!
-
Plastic and walking is to slow I'm going to ruuuun a crankbait by his nose and hang on.He want have time to study the food on his plate whether to eat it or not.
I have nothing againest plastic great baits they are but plastic has became boring to me.To me a fish will thump a crankbait harder than plastic and even fight a little harder.I'm going to pick 6 different colored curly tails for beetle spins but the small cranks will be my go to this year.

I used to catch some mighty good crappie on a 1/8th oz. Big-O back in the day. Wish I'd of bought a closet full of them when they still made 'em.
