Anyone know if the crappie are starting to bite at butla? Thinking of going this Friday. Wind is supposed to be out of the East at 4 MPH. Never good from the East but I'm getting anxious to dip a minnow.
Thanks,

If you go the Butla you can leave your trolling poles at home. The coves are full of buck brush they grew up last year while the water was low. The brush is 4 - 6 foot tall and the tops are just at the surface so the single polers should have a big time. Good luck
Think it will be another couple of weeks before they turn on. They are the last ones to turn on out of the big 4. This is what i have gathered from past yrs. But they might bite only way to know is to go. But if it was me i would wait til first week of April or so.

No, I've been blessed to have a wife who let's me "do my thing" when it comes to fishing. For many years I've had at least one boat or two and she is OK with that. She loves to eat fish. But you can't fish everyday and with the cost of gas it's getting more and more expensive, golf is, for me, another enjoyment in life. It helps too that I live on a Golf Course.....so I have the best of both worlds.
