I use Magellan and Garmin handheld units. Both are accurate, easy to operate. i prefer the magellan as you can number and name the structure you are fishing.
I use Garmin etrex handheld GPS. Simplest to use and inexpensive. I change the # of way point to area code and #.
Example Carter Cove West side #5 entered as CCW05 , sure makes easier to locate which way point I'm wanting to go to. They hold up to 500 way points and locate within + or - 10 feet. No problem locating even small brush piles , stake beds or even isolated stumps.
thanks fellows

I use the Garmin etrex as well with a lakes map card in it. Like Nimrod said, simple to use.
I've used an e-trex for years, great little units.
I use the Garmin GPSMap units--beginning with the 76 and recently switching to the 78. These units both work great & I only moved to the 78 because I used the 76 so much that the center of the display burned out. When I get home from a trip, the GPSMap cables to the PC and it's very simple to dump the contents of the unit. This serves as a backup of today's trip data, but also allows me to view and manage the data with desktop software. Originally, that was MapSource (free). Now, Garmin provides (also free) BaseCamp. It's really handy to fire up MapSource (or BaseCamp), load a few trips from this time in years past (I have most trips from 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009, and 2008) and review what I did and where it happened. If some of that info will be helpful for tomorrow's trip, I download the old trip tracks to the GPSMap. That way, I can use the old tracks and revisit exact spots from year to year, with or without waypoints!
wow Corker thats neat... i like very much

Because the GPSMap is handheld, I can also carry last week's, month's, or year's tracks and waypoints when I'm fishing out of someone else's boat. That way, we have both his and my old trip tracks as resources for today's trip.
sounds perfect, but i better check the price before i commit... have to keep the "war lord " happy,,,,lol
