Thanks Ed whitfield. I have dealt with Ed on some programs for the youth in Master Gardeners in the past and he has been good to us many times. One of the few politicians that listens. Go look at the state ramp and parking lot in Kuttawa Bay. That was his project with Fish and Wildlife! Seems to have our back and gives the Corp something to think about besides screwing over the fisherman!
I don't like "more" government either, but this sounds like Congressman Whitfield has introduced legislation that will reduce our government's attempts to put more control on our fishing waters. I just wonder how the Corps/government gets off restricting use by the very citizens who paid for those darn dams in the first place!
Because in the past "just because we can". Glad something is being done. That's our government as a whole "just because we can" no one to stop them.
".....and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth"
What happened to this?
It has turned into a philosophy of "....give ourselves a raise, tax the heck out of anything we can get a hold of and spend all the money we can get our hands on, " why because nobody can stop us!! Good thing we got a FEW members up there like Mr. Whitfield to fight the wasted time and efforts of Washington politics!!!
Let's not go getting all "political" in this thread !! Otherwise I will be forced to move the whole thread over to the WOT forum :banghead (sorry, but as a SuperModerator, I would have no choice in the matter ... since political discussions are against site rules, and I have to be neutral minded regardless of this being my home state forum)
