Sonar Mounts????

Seeking opinoins. I have the Johnny Ray mount on my boat. Should I replace with the Ram Heavy Duty Mount? Are they stronger , offer better stability,or do they have their drawbacks.Thinking of getting a Elite 7 HDI and may need more support. I have HDS 7 Gen 2 on it right now. Thanks for any of your comments.

I have a HDS-8 on my johnny ray and it is fine. But want to get a ram mount.I think they are just easier to adjust tilt and turning the unit.If you do get rid of your HDS-7 for the elite,send me a pm.Looking for something to put on the bow.
