Hey guys, have recently started working at a place where I can get free broken pallets. How do yal anchor the pallet or stake beds for them to be vertical or to stay situated upward letting the stakes stand up. Have sank plenty of natural brush and pvc with cinder blocks and cable which seems to work well. Just now have the resources to try another structure just wanted some more input what you guys thought and info would help thanks.
You can use cinder blocks or you can go the cheep way by useing rocks put inbetween the slats of the pallet.
Last guy I saw using cinder blocks had problems. He sat them on the pallet and wired them on. When he slid them in , the pallet rolled over . The weight needs to be low (inside or on bottom of pallet).Quote:

Did try several pallets; used fencing wire to attach a 12" cement block underneath and zip tied 6 10 hole red bricks to it under the slats (3 per side also underneath) sank nicely, but was careful not to add more than 20 1X1" uprights. Could only carry 2 at a time...
It takes skill to make them land up on their side. It will take 3 8x8x16 (75lbs) concrete blocks to sink a good sized pallet stake bed. This is much more than what I thought.
We'll see which ones hold the most fish. The one on its side, circled in red, or the others that landed right.
Considering you are basically attempting to submerge an unstable unwieldy object with the aerodynamic (hydro dynamic?) qualities of a furnace with the venting, wiring and plumbing all still attached and "land" this thing upright exactly where desired...uh. good luck with that! And the deeper it`s going the LESS likely "success"...
