Just say that you gewbers convince me to buy the 80lb Terrova, that means another battery. How does that impact my other electronics? Both fishfinders are 12 volt, as are my lights and dash guages. Currently everything runs of of one battery and my outboard runs of of a second cranking battery. So... I see two batteries for my TM, another battery just for my FFs and electronics, and a cranking battery for my outboard? That is turning into a lot of batteries and a lot of wiring.
You are bound to be able to fit 3 batteries in your boat. One dedicated to cranking and electronics, 2 for the troll motor. A group 24 for cranking and 2 group 31s for the t-motor. I have fought these issues for 25 years and finally bit the bullet and spent the money. Couldn't be happier!

Argh!!!!! OK... So...electronics can run on the cranking battery? Hmmm.... I am not wired like that now. And fishfinder does not draw enough of a load to run down the cranking battery? That would be no fun!

Never has on mine...and I am running live well pump....a air pump, two fish finders, and my minnow bucket all on the cranking battery. I do carry a set of jumper cables in the boat so if I ever had to and so far I have not...I could jump the outboard off of one of the TM batterys.
Me too. Never had a problem. Battery maintenance is paramount. Quality charger goes a long way.
Should always have all your acc stuff and finders on cranking battery. Good marine group 24 should be more than enough. Like G said get you a good set of jumper cables in case you ever need to jump off.
