On tuesday the 12th, I caught them in 12' of water on Barren.
On the 14th I caught them in 10 ft of water fishing 6 and 7 ft deep. Water had plenty of color though.
I doubt they are shoreline shallow if that's what your asking. They do move up in the water column over brush during feeding periods and mild cloudy days though imo.
