Loaded the Premium hot maps east into my HB 597. When I pull up the lake chart it only shows the lake , a few roads around the shoreline and dotted lines for the humps in the lake. At the very least I would like to see depth contours with depth readings. Where is all the lake information?
Which Premium hotmap are you using and what lake were you on? I ask because not all o fthe lakes may have depth contour or spot depth readings on them, plus someone else with the same map card could check this on their Humminbird unit.
premium hot maps East is the card I have and the lake is Roanoke Rapids Lake NC.
Try this..
Go under the "Chart" tab to "Map Borders"
Make sure this set to "MMC/SD card"...
Then go back to you lake's chart view and zoom out to see if the area you are looking at even has a map border around it...
If it doesn't...Navionics did not map that area...
If it does... Navionics may still not have mapped it for good 1' contour lines...
There's a lot of bays on my home lake of KY lake that it seems Navionics went back in the bay to about 10' depth and then just "guessed" at the rest of it to the back of the bay...

Roanoke Rapids is not listed as a High-Definition lake on Navionics web site, so there is no telling what level of data they have on their mapping cards for this lake. The High-Definition lakes are the ones that have the one-foot depth contours. So you may be seeing all the map data there is for Roanoke Rapids.
