Transducer in new Minn Kotas

Does the transducers optionally used in the new Minn Kota trolling motors work with the Hummingbird 597 DI or do you have to install the Hummingbird transducer as provided. I want to use this at the front on the trolling motor and thinking about a new Minn Kota with the transducer option and I-pilot.

Thanks fellows! I really want the I-pilot on a new Terrova so I guess you just need to be careful not to 360 your motor when using the tracking feature, huh?

If you install the transducer through the motor as shown in the stickie at top of this forum, you can 360 all you want. The integrated US2 transducer is a POS.
