Hypnotic Holds for different critters.

Not sure how many different critters are subject to hypnotic holds, but have used the fingers in the eye-balls of
large catfish numerous times. Have used same hold on bass I've intended to keep. Seems to keep them calm so
the hook can be removed. Never tried it before on a bobcat, but my cousin that kayak fishes with me tried it just
one time. The hard part is getting the cat into a position to snatch it just right without a big ruckus and getting
yourself scratched up real bad. He tried numerous techniques on tame house cats before finding out just what the
best way was to hold it to keep it calm. This technique seemed to work best and he was anxious to try it out on
the next bobcat we found. This one just happened to be lurking next to the highway and we may have caught it
cat napping, not real sure. Ole Cuz did think it moved a little bit while he was holding it, so he squeezed it really
hard and the bobcat never recovered. Probably a good thing for Cuz. There may have been a gas leak nearby,
not really sure. Could have had some effect on the situation, but whatever, it made for a good picture.
