Went to Norfork Lake saturday and sunday didnt catch any crappie again. Tried minnows and jigs over brush in 20 to 30 fow. Did catch 3 bass saturday, skunked sunday. Used a slip float with a minner on top jig and a tube jig on bottom. Seen fish in 18 to 25 fow on my garmin 550 fished from 2 till about dark. Also tried jigging minners and jigs in and over the brush. I am thinking I need to quit till March and ride my mule on buffalo river, beatiful scenes off the bluffs over looking the river.
I live near Norfork and what you experenced is a all too common problem on that lake. It's not you it's the lake.
Went to the White/Buffalo resort a couple years ago. Man thats some beutiful country!
norfork is definetly a challenging lake, but when you get into them they sure are some dandy crappie.
Those clear lakes beat me like a display drum at the five and dime.
Sure you did not fish with me. :biggrin I have been having a hard time catch any lately.
Thats all gonna change Friday Bob. I got some rod holders ready to mount on the back of my boat for you. Those Dardanelle Crappie are in trouble, as long as the weather holds out!Quote:
