Can anyone offer any info/videos on there units? What all i have see has been very good . I know there new this year, but someone has put something together. I just see you pro/con on them.

I'll be able to tell you soon. I have one on order from BBG. I spent some time comparing this unit against other DI units. The fact that it is nmea2k comp. and has a 7" screen made it an easy decision for me. I had 2HDS units, and I hated having only 2d with split screen when on the bow. I switched my LSS-1 up to the bow, and then found the exact same feeling to be true. I decided to sell one HDS, put the elite on the bow and share waypoints via nmea2k (I already have nmea in the boat). This will give me what I really want, being able to do scans while idling around, marking waypoints as I go, and then trolling to them to fish. I really didn't want to put in another LSS unit. So this was an affordable upgrade.
I am like you with this being the best for my money. I don't have a DD but have one on order also. All i have read has been great. the big 7" screen will be nice also. i like be able to have GPS and able to make waypoints marks.
Will it network with any HDS units? I've been debating between the 'birds that I really like, and getting one of these and possibly an HDS with structure scan, mounting the elite 7 on the bow. My bow unit is shot anyways and I'd rather have side scan and better gps at the console.
You'll need the NMEA2K networking, and then it will share gps and waypoints. I just did the same thing you are describing.Quote:

There are many reasons to get it from a sponsor like BBG (He got my Elite-7 to me within 60 hours of ordering). Compare your local tax rate and the BPS price with BBG's price with Shipping. It's a no brainer.
agreed, I'm going to call BBG soon as I can get the spare change. My wife's kitchen remodel has cut into my fun fund abit this winter, lol
