Just got a notice from Crawford County Tax Commish saying I need to declare the value of my boats and send it in to the tax office. I have never paid a boat tax in Crawford county I just pay a yearly tax on the trailer when I purchase a new tag. Do any other county's in Georgia require you to pay county taxes on your boat? I think it's total BS but don't think I have any recourse. How many of y'all are paying County taxes on a boat? :mad:

Houston county sends me one very year...I file it in the trash.
Bleckley County has the tax and yes, I pay every year. County gets info from Registered Boats from State......I think, We have to pay City and County Taxes on personal property over 7,500........

Plum crazy. Got annexed into the city a couple years ago by a few hundred yards. Taxes went from 1400-2800. Got me a street light and some trash pickup. Oh even better. On our city water bill we now have a 14.00 storm water run off fee for the rain water that goes down the ditches. Stupidity
