Best Rope to use?
I hang alot of my trees from my dock and usually use a thin cable to do so. This year i was fortunate enough to get a lot of xmas trees from the left overs from the sale lots.
Since my dock is stacked i am considering hanging these trees from limbless stumps out on the lake. Because i have so many trees i was just going to use rope to hang them.
What rope last the longest in water?

Although more expensive would use plastic coated steel cable and clamps, the reason being that most types of nylon rope will stretch in wave action, plus some will just not hold up to abrasion. Try to buy it in bulk when possible...

Double braid nylon. You could get cheap garden hose and cut short pieces to go around where it might abraid.

That would probably work.

I PUT OUT TREES USING OLD WORN OUT WATER HOSES . YOU CAN USE SCREWS/NAILS TO ANCHOR THEM TO TREES ,DOCKS, ECT . THEY WILL BE THERE A LOT LOMGER THAN ROPE . CAN'T SAY HOW LONG AS ALL ARE STILL THERE . GO TO THE CITY WHERE YOU LIVE AND TELL THEM TO SAVE THEM FOR YOU . YOU WILL NEVER RUN OUT .:twocents
