Kids need indoctrinated

Be sure to look at the pic of the "gun". Sometimes things are so stupid, they're unbelievable. This would be one of those times and a perfect example why kids should be home schooled. Kids are being brainwashed that everything American is evil and I'm sure being directed to snitch on mommy and daddy anytime they do or own something the overlord doesn't permit.

There was another story of a kindergarten child who got suspended because they were playfully squirting other kids with bubbles from a toy squirt gun.

First assault weapon bans, then they will start banning the use the super soakers and water guns.

KIDS, ie children "NEED" `indoctrination`? By WHO? For WHAT 'purpose"? To "correct' WHAT "incorrect" thinking? Do you mean like the Hitler Youth was? (BTW they WERE `taught` (brain washed) to inform on THEIR parents and ANYONE ELSE who dared to speak out against the Fueher or the Nazi Party) Would have to assume the suggested "indoctrination' will go like "The NRA is ALL. I PLEDGE my soul to the United States of WEAPON MAKERS. The fully automatic heavy machine gun is my FRIEND..." Do you mean like THAT kind of "indoctrination"? I for 1 will OPPOSE that...OTHER than perhaps suggesting logical means of PROTECTING (as opposed to mentally INFECTING ) them, why don`t we leave the kids OUT of this, OK?

We can't "leave the kids out of this", Lowell .... they're at the heart of all this, seeing as how THEY will inherit "our" world. (not to mention Obama having "kids" in his gun bill signing photo-op)

I think the 'need indoctrinated' portion of the title was a facetious reference, seeing as how the whole point of the link/story was that our children ARE being "indoctrinated", in the liberal mindset of the public education system.

You just made the same case against what the school teachers/admin did to this child (and what obviously had happened to the one that "called her out"), that the Conservative minded readers of this story did !!

So let me see, here ... the little girl brought a piece of paper to school, crudely fashioned in the shape of a "gun" ... realizing she still had this piece of paper on her, she threw it away ... some other child saw this (supposed) likeness of a "gun" shaped piece of paper, and called her out ... the other children called her a "murderer" ... the teacher/Admin berated her, searched her, and threatened her. Sooooo, tell me again ... which side of the political spectrum is paranoid ??? Which side is using Nazi indoctrination tactics ??

Okay, Crappie Pappy, I will concede at least part of the statement. But perhaps selecting the word "indoctrinate" was a BIT much...and with all of the "the sky is falling" hog wash spewwing of late, just struck me wrong...

This thread reminded me. I don't know what the story was all about. All I caught on to was a local morning news station was taking a poll via Twitter about parents informing the schools on how many and what kind of weapons were in the house. Why would I want to tell them that? Why is it thier business? And yes Mr Turner; Stuff like this makes me paranoid.

We had a local school expell a senior last week for having a gun in his truck. He was planning to go hunting after school so he brought his unloaded gun with him, they had a gun dog walk the parking lot and find it. Thought that was a little harsh. Pretty sure he lost his scholarship because of this.

So explain to me why this senior should be exempt from the rules that every other student has to follow. He should feel lucky that he didn't go to jail. With all the crazyness that has been going on in schools, shows this student didn't have the intelligents to be carrying a gun. Unless someone told him he was above the rules that everyother student has to follow.
I don't see what you thought was harsh about this. He can concider himself lucky that it didn't have a very different ending. EB

Oh I think he should have been punished .... Just questioned the severity of it. The same school had a star athlete get on the intercom , say he hated all white people and wanted to kill them all..... They laughed it off and he didn't,t miss a day of school... Just think the rules should apply to all. :twocents
