Lake Blue Ridge help?
Hi folks. I was wondering if anyone could help me with some information about Lake Blue Ridge. I've done a search and have not had too much success. I saw an old post that someone said there are crappie in this lake but the guy at the local bait shop said there was not. Does anybody have any experience with this lake. I just got a kayak and would like to start crappie fishing in this area and I need some help finding some crappie water! Thanks for any help!

Try the Ga Outdoor News site. There may be some info there. Search articles and fishing reports. I have never fished Blue Ridge.

I searched for crappie info but found nothing for Blue Ridge. Also, see attached link for fishing/boating on that lake - seems crappie are not available there.

that is probably clear water . if so go deep or night fish with no light and use lighted corks . that is the way they fish the blue hole at Blacksher and catch fish . it is a boil and the water is gin clear .
welcom to the Ga. forum

There are a few Crappie in the lake. Live bait on the bottom move slow. You will also catch a few Yellow Perch and they eat good also.

Thanks folks. Looks like I may have to travel to find greener pastures. I'll have to settle for the smallmouth and walleye in my local lake lol! The lakes closest to me are Nottley in Blairville, Hiawassee in Murphy NC, and Parksville in TN. Lots of water to search in a Kayak. I may just have to visit my family in south Alabama very often in the near future. Several state fishing license to obtain.
