Finally made it back home tonight around 11:15. Been a long day and a lot of miles in the last day and a half, but worth every minute of it. A special Thanks to Hammers for letting me fish with him this weekend. We left the boat ramp to be welcomed by white caps at 6:30 this morning and had a tough time getting on some good fish, and we probably caught 25-30 fish during the tournament. The wind primarily dictated where we could fish. We tried fishing where I left the fish at last weekend, but the wind wouldn't let us. Luckily I hung a good fish about 20 minutes before the tournament ended. That fish made the difference between First Place and either 3rd or 4th place without that 2.36 lb slab. Only 2/10 of a pound separated us from 2nd Place we we missed the big fish by 2/10 of a pound. I learned a few things from Hammers today and he is a great guy to fish with...No pics to post because I didn't take any pictures today. Just didn't think about it.
Also Congratulations to Scot Williams and his Father Billy. They came in 2nd place in the Semi-Pro division. They were barely edged out of First Place by just a few 100ths of a lb (if my memory serves me correctly) and they also had a big fish of 2.36 lbs.
The weights weren't as good as we all expected, but the weather has a way of changing everything. But we all had the same conditions to deal with and it was a close race on Semi-Pro and Amateur divisions.
