Get the opinions of a bunch of gewbers and try and do it right the next time. I was able to run over to West Memphis today and get my warranty replacement and new cart battery ( thanks BRM ) and I decided while I was replacing my trolling batteries to go ahead and replace and upgrade the cranking/accessories battery too. I'm good for at least the next 18 months now. Ready to rock and roll again once this rain stops and everything stables off a little bit. Thanks to everyone on helping me get my dilemma solved and I will see you on the water.

You got her covered now. Think you may have done a overkill on the water though. Sure hope you don't need 2 gal in next 18 mo.

Better install 'em tonight and hit the water tomorrow, rain and wind 'til the middle of next week it looks like.

Just noticed, them jumper cables only 10 gauge wire? Don't put over 30 amps through em...or they're gonna melt-down.

They said they were for light duty cars. I only got them to keep in the boat in case of emergency. They will be ok for that wont they???? I still got the receipt:)

Would depend on what you used them for, I wouldn't even use them to start a small car. I mean they'd be better than nothing, but remember many TM's run a 50/60 amp breaker.

I would only use them to jump my starter battery from my trolling batteries. I have a bunch of stuff connected to the starter battery and it would suck to have and take all the leads off. I have a heavy duty set at the house for my truck.

Those cables will be fine to jump your outboard off with....I keep a set on my boat. No more than the outboard starter pulls for a short time to crank it, you will be OK.
