I'm not sure if both of your questions refer to Lowrance..(because I thought Lowrance didn't have adjustable chart speed)..Quote:

I got a older lowrance and was wondering how to match the chart speed to ping speed.. and yea I was wondering bout the hb to.. I got a di and the 2d.. just don't really understand how to adjust the speed.. seems that if you adjust it high as you can that would give you the quickest response and most accurate but then why would they make it able to turn down idk
