i was alway told it was to cold for crappie this time of year. so i never fished it when i live there. I have got some cats at georgetown in the summer.
I've never fished the red that far down stream period. And, I've never fished it specifically for crappie either. However, last June I was flyfishing above the swinging bridge launch area and I caught an 11" black crappie. Don't know if they are stocked in there or if that one was a fluke. I've got about 10 years experience of fishing on the red and that's the only one I've ever caught or witnessed being caught. But once again, I've never fished the lower warmer areas of the river.
good crappie fishing all summer long, we start at nemo and go down river. fish tops out of current.
Great crappie fishing most of the year.Lower part of the river where the Little red joins the White River at Hurricane lake WMA. Home of the Crappie and trout magnet!!!!!!white/chart,black/chart,junebug/chart works for us!!!!!
