bamboo drop
I used 20 foot tall bamboo and I am dropAttachment 111647ping in a lake with no cover, dropping 20' tall boo in 26 feet of water not 30 feet from shore and next to a large flat. 60# of concrete in the bucket I hope it stay upright but if it falls over it still should work fine.

Should work... I'd probably try to put that screen door and that water heater in a little shallower water though !! :ThumbsUp

If you are worried about the boo falling over, tie a couple of milk jugs to the stalks?
-
I would consider dropping two or three of those in one spot.....Plus, I like to drop fresh boo with the leaves on it..

I've dropped several dozen identical to that. I don't believe there is any danger of tipping over. The bucket is so much heavier than the buoyant bamboo, that the bucket plants itself solidly on the bottom, with the bamboo stalks acting as sort of a parachute when it descends.
My only recommendation is either add more bamboo stocks, or zip tie some equally long bamboo stalks horizontally across the upright stalks, about 1/4 to 1/2 of the way down their length. It extends the effective range of the coverage area. Of course, more snags potential...but this is about fish, not saving jigs.

Here is the boo going down, tried to get it right on channel edge, not so easy. Next shot is Side scan of the boo.
What I learned! One stalk green boo, in only 10lb of concrete, to much to handle in a boat doing multipals and the dry stalks break off right at the concrete when compressing in a boat. I post up pictures in spring to see if any fish are visible. + let ya know if I caught anything off it.
