Icing Kansas Trout!!
Hit up a couple of ponds/lakes on Ft Riley this morning, I caught 14 "stocker" rainbow trout(8-14") long! :biggrin Fished 7 ftow and used a ratso, a Lindy Toad jig and a Slender spoon, all tipped with spikes and caught fish from right on the bottom to just a foot under the ice! Fun for about an hour and then I decided to to another pond in search of some crappie! Hit the second pond and could only find 4.5ftow, dropped the spike tipped Ratso down and got hit instantly! Ended up catching 6 small gills before heading to another "crappie" pond! It was way low and I could only find 1.5 ftow so I didn't fish it! Headed home for some lunch and then I'm heading back out to some bass ponds!!!Attachment 111351Attachment 111352Attachment 111353Attachment 111354Attachment 111355Attachment 111356Attachment 111357Attachment 111358Attachment 111353
Ice was 4-5" everywhere that I checked and all fish are still swimming!!:biggrin:biggrin:biggrin

Nice fish Joe. :ThumbsUp I use to fish the trout pond on Fort Riley. My Dad use to take me and a buddy from school.
Do they still have the bait shop open on the base? They had some cool stuff back in the day.
