I plan on making a trip to Cadron tomorrow morning if it's not raining. just wondering if anyone has any tips for someone that has only fished it once in the spring?
Thanks!

Spent many years fishing it, back before it turned to chocolate milk from all the farmers. Put in at Shaw Bridge and went upstream as far as I could. Pretty, and every brushpile or pileup had a few crappie. I hear now that if you launch there, your truck and trailer might be gone in 8 minutes. Sad. Plus, the creek is just too muddy for me to bother with anymore.
But I'd be interested in hearing how it's doing now.
It been ten years sense I was there at shaw bridge. I had did a lot of duck hunting there but never fish it. I was told it has become a bad place to hang out
Ditto the remarks in regards to launching at Shaw Bridge. I crossed the Cadron and stopped to look at the water. I was up off HWY 287 around Holland. Creek was big and flowing and water clarity looked really good. Outside that I can't offer much. But if I were gonna launch at Shaw Bridge, I would have a lock on my trailer tongue at minimum. And in all honesty, you'd be better off leaving your doors unlocked. Atleast you don't lose a window that way when they break in !! Post a report if you go.... I think many would be interested.
Thanks for the replies! I can't offer a report since we made a last minute decision to go to Tull instead. Wish i had some kind of report other than it's COLD out there... we never caught a keeper :(
