Vinyl Head Cement?

I have some vinyl head cement that has thicken up.
Can this be thinned with acetone?

I use vinyl paints, haven't used the cement yet. The thinner doesn't smell like acetone. Not sure what it is. I get the thinner at the sports store where I get the paint. Or go online and get a pint for about the same price with shipping added.

Yes

we have used acetone for quite some time for thinning vinyl paint also for the cement I've had no problems with using acetone and vinyl products.
