Corp started pulling the lake again real hard, 3795 units! Lake currently at 532.8, water temp 52 degrees. Fought a brisk North East wind all day. Found some fish, but they were real bashful with the bite. I ended up with 26 keepers, but earned every darned one of them. Attachment 108637

Update: Today, lake level is 531.4, still pulling 3746 CFS. Still haven't heard definitively whether they are taking it down to 528' or 525'. 100,000 crappie were stocked in the lake approximately three weeks ago. 30,000 Black Crappie and 70,000 White Crappie. Should bode well for fishing for next several years.
Congrats on your catch there Brad :ThumbsUp. Just checked green river and its went from 673.57 to 670.17 in the last couple of days. I would guess that they are all pulling now with there being forcasted 4 days of rain coming.

Nice catch Brad! I hope they hold the lake at 528 instead of 525. They have held it at 528 the last couple years so maybe that is the new winter pool. I sure hop so
Nice catch.........you guys are kickin my butt......lol. I use to be one of the best crappie fisherman on Barren in years past, but here lately I am not having as much luck. I guess i am to old school, I still fish the same ways I did as a kid and younger man. It works sometimes but not all the time. I need to adapt and get my act together. I love seeing these posts from barren on here and thanks for all the lake updates you post Brad.
