Fishing was slow today. Was a beautiful day without much wind. I caught a lot of small fish
but not many keepers. Fished the rip rap off 154 and Jacki Branch. Fishing with slab stalkers colors electric chicken and
junebug. Hadd one fish 13.25" 2 others almost 13". Kept 9 total threw back almost 50. Jig head was 1/16th oz dipped in silver
glitter. Tried other sizes and colors but not as productive as this jig. Most fish caught 8-10 ft deep on jig drop.Attachment 107171

11/21 kinda similar. 3 11+ in late am on chart/white trout magnets about 2ft under a cork tight to rip rap...make a big splash and let it soak a bit. Shoulda been doing that all am. PM (after most left for the day) verrrry slow right on the bottom near brush south of 154 causeway. 20 overs only 2 under 11, all whites, mostly males, nothing over 13, only 8 decent unders, and a steady parade of way unders. Not bumping bottom/all way unders. Mostly glow baby shad and slab slay'r elect chicken.
Sounds like I need to make it to Rend. I will be in Southern IL this week. Might have to drag a boat down with me and play hooky for a day
