Anyone know what the crappie are doing at Poverty Point?

I haven't been since the spring but the fishing report that came out in the paper today said the white perch bite was picking up around the Marina boat slips at the north end of the lake and the deep channels on the south side. I've been thinking about making a trip and will file a report if I do.
