First of all congrats to Lee and Fred, if you know these guys it is no surprise
That they put this bag together. The question is how many bags in the last say 10 years have been brought to the scales, in any tournament, over 8lbs. On shelbyville?

2009- Springfield Crappie Club Classic.
Rick Montooth, Van Pierceall / 8.33 lbs
I think Birdman and his father had over 9lbs two years ago in the very same tournament.
Im thinking this springs CUSA tourney had a 9lb sack from the buck brush boys was the heaviest I can remember. Then this tournament with penn/brozio at 9.21 and Father and I in same tournament a couple years ago at 9.47 are the only ones over 9 I can think of recently. Not sure about 8lb sacks... and I could be wrong about this spring but im thinkin that was it? :dono
Just looked on cusa website and 7.82 was the heaviest weight in 2012.You are in pretty rare company with a 9lb+ sack on shelbyville.
dang, I thought for sure they had heavier in the usa with the 2+ pounder. thanks for lookin crappie60
For the 9lb sacks I dont remember of any other ones that are listed already? If I am missing one or two I apologize for the error.. Please let us know.
I do remember several 12 lb sacks and a couple 13 lb sacks from Shelbyville when we were weighing in the best 10 fish.
I had a 14.47 for 10 fish a couple years back for Sit N Sip.
Anyways, it is hard to beat these weights listed for Shelbyville in the state of Illinois.
One more comment, Lee Penn told me last Saturday; Lee was just the boat boy. Fred was the man that was on em :biggrin
congrats on a great catch..9lbs...as tough as Shelbyville has been at times this year that was a remarkable weight and I think 2nd place was over 8lbs...Hate to catch 8lbs and lose a tournament...Good fishing by all...
