Just a tiny RANT
Usually I am pretty good about keeping it in check. Just got my Personal Property Tax......$968.00 for my boat.:yikes
Paid sales Taxes/ Registration already and now this.
Come the (BLEEP) on......:deadhorse
All the places we have lived we never had Personal Property Taxes.......I just do not understand the concept. :dono
Ok.......it's not all better but it's over

Make sure you make it out and vote tomorrow as there is and amendment that will give the legislature the ability total watercraft differently if they choose to do so. My boat is 10 years old and my taxes are approximately half what yours is. One downside of owning a boat that somewhat holds its value. Hopefully it passes so we might get some relief. There is some info about it on this site or you can go to KWP&T website.

I know the feeling :deadhorse

That is why it is important to get out and vote tomorrow. This very issue is on the ballot.

Yep, I have to be at the polls early before work and I plan to vote on this. I guess my problem with the measure is I have never seen any tax that ever went away or that was lowered dramatically. makes me really miss Alaska even more....the State paid us to live there.....:biggrin
Just read a big article on this very issue. Sorry but it makes a lot of $en$e. Did not not know that boats were taxed at the same rate as privately owned helicopters and airplanes. The comments at the bottom were really interesting.

GOT TO GO VOTE I JUST DID IF YOU OWN A BOAT OR NOT JUST VOTE AND PLEASE VOTE YES ON THE CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT. Just plain strange we need a constitutional amendment to lower taxes, something messed up about that big time. Kansas is one of the few states that has property tax, plus income tax, plus sales tax, plus personnel property tax. I think I might move to Texas.

Good Luck Mr. President. Hope to have you another 4 years. God Bless America, and our TROOPs.

so can anybody explain if it passed or not... not sure what that 52 percent means?
