Hi,
I am recently new to Crappie fishing and I am hooked after landing a cooler load and frying them up recently. My question is this, I am located in cental Illinois and I am looking for help and tips on where to find some good fishing this winter. Also, what is everyones favorite baits/lures for pulling winter slabs.

Kinkaid is close to 2 hours from me. I was hoping to learn of some new spots a little closer to home. I agree, it is beautiful, that whole area is good fishing, Lake Murphysboro, Crab Orchard, Little Grassy... good stuff. Anyone know of any crappie holes a little closer?Quote:
