Hey CT,
I got a "free"Black Labpuppy a few years back. Trained him to hand, voice, and whistle commands for dove and duck hunting. First dog I ever trained and we had a great time for a lot of years.
However, when I got my "free" Lab, I poured a concrete pad for a kennel which I also bought, an igloo dog house that he ate the front off, numerous 1st year shots that puppes need and an ever increasing amount of dog food. So what I learned is there is no such thing as a "free" dog,
But it was the best money I ever spent and the most fun i ever had on a dove field or a duck blind. Would I do it again knowing what I know now? Absolutely. A Lab is an incredible dog both as a pet and a hunter. If I was in a positon to have one I'd come get him(or her).

Johnathan: what's the story on this dog? Bio....I have 2 at home...male 12 and his daughter 7..... You got pics?
Thanks,
Jody
Jody he was a dog someone dropped off by my Dad's house out in the country about a week ago and just trying to find him a good home. He is very friendly. Only drawback is he will climb out the top of a six foot high kennel and dig out of a fenced in yard. He will stay around a yard that isn't fenced in, he just doesn't want to be contained in anyway. I live in town and already have a Fiest in my kennel. He would be excellent for someone that can let him roam free or has an invisible fence. He loves attention from people and the companionship of other dogs. Anyone who will give him a good home I will be glad to bring him to them.
OOOHHHH....Don't need that at the house...I've been very fortunate that my dogs don't climb fences and dig....The backyard is farm fenced ..acre or so....They never would leave if I left the gate wide open, but It there to keep other things OUT!!! Good luck with the pooch...Somebody that has wide open space is sure to take him.
