cool windy day
Just wondering if anyone had any luck on the lake today. We caught 1crappie 1bass 2bluegill and 1drum. Thought it would be a good day. I guess its the way I fish or where I fish but I'm having a hard time finding big slabs. Would listen to any suggestions.

I am guessing from your recent post you fished Green today ?
I was there last weekend and it was tough. All my fish were 15 ft or more deep and tight in the brush.
Couldn't catch much of anything casting jigs, had to sit over them and tight line.
Looked like the lake had turned over.
Good luck

We were on green yesterday. The fishing was slower than it has been all week (went 3 times) but did bring home 15 keepers fishing brush piles in 25-30 feet of water. They seemed to be holding just above the brush so we tight lined around 20 feet. Also picked up a few drum, rock bass, and a walleye that would have met my frying pan if he was just an inch bigger. Maybe next time.

Fished this morning and the Terrova was getting hot from running for 5 hours straight. I tried fishing some moderate depth wood (12-18 feet) but hung crankabits up several times in the wood and after losing my second one said forget it and moved to some of my open water haunts. I left with 10 because that all I felt like cleaning, caught probably a half dozen more or so legal fish once it warmed up a little bit. Fought a 24-30" muskie that thought he was a rocket ship and jumped more than any other I have caught on the lake. I popped him off at the boat but he was definately a cool character to jump like a smallmouth. A windy day but any day on Green is better than staying at the house. Tight Lines Guys...
