Good Evening, I just happened to see this article in the paper this evening. Let us all pray for more rain soon. My father has been fishing Milford a bit lately and he says it's terribly low and he's heard a lot of complaints from people as to what this will end up doing to the reservoir. Getting pretty ugly everywhere. Below is the link to the news story. Be interesting to see how long this goes on for.

Milford is almost 6 ft below normal conservation pool level right now! This is bad news... somebody please do a rain dance!!!:biggrin
I think your rain dance may have been answered. Looks like they got a decent amount of rain just west of Clay Center and they got a bunch of rain up north east of Concordia. A good portion of that rain that fell North East of Concordia should make its way down the Republican and into Milford. Will know in about 3 days by looking at the river gauge station South of Clay Center.Quote:

Hopefully we get enough rain. It should benefit some at least. What has landed between the two black lines should make it to Milford...Hopefully most of it fall fast and hard and was run-off water.

I just talked to a buddy in Manhattan. The way it sounds, Tuttle is really bad off. The east end of the marina is sitting in mud...along with a pontoon that didnt' get out fast enough. Bad stuff.
Isn't there any water up north they can use to get that Missouri up for barges?? I think we need a monsoon down here.
