Short day, had to go, weathers gonna change
Looks like a pretty good day to me! Did you find them deep or shallow today?
WTG :) Same lake \ same pattern as your previous trip.
I'm jealous, I had to work all day.... at least you were productive. :cheers2
Slinger, sorry, had to post in go. I tried up against the bank, but only humpy's there today, which I'm having for dinner----SWEET!!!!! I bagged a dozen nice gills. The blackies were 6'-7' and the whiteys were 10'-13'. At first those whiteys would thump it, then it was like dragging some moss, super subtle. I was pitching a lot back, as well as Saturday. I clean fish very well, as some on here can attest, just hate doing it much anymore. Truth is, I heard some guys the other day talking about all the shad up high on their screens which has me laughing all the to the fish cleaning station. Guys, those aren't shad, they're crappie and they're stacked up solid like cordwood. Sure, you pop a few and the school slides over. The secret, ping pong 'em. You can control their movement by taking fish from the sides. It helps keep them in one area. Once you start busting up the school, it's over or becomes work. Tear 'em up :ThumbsUp
Good job, very envious!!!
BD40, I'm sorry, this is just a continuation of the thread and previously stated info on "Slow morning at Milford". But, if it helps, I've been doing this same thing in ALL of my posts, I just have pictures to go with it now.
Now, the question is, where should I go today? Protected areas are critical with the forecasted S winds, I think Tim has the right idea.
Looks like you found my spot!:bash lol Actually looks like you found "the" spot, I fished my piles for an hour or so last night and only caught 1 keeper! I'll get with you when I get home and see if we get together for a few trips!
In the mean time...tear them up!!!:biggrin
Doc in u'r previous post u said something about the things people are seeing on thier graphs, and taking to be shad schools, but some were actually stacked crappie, would it be asking too much if u could take a picture of the screen and post sometime. I've always heard this and I continously check many of these to no avail. Thanx! DK
dkv,
I'm not sure, I don't know if I have good enough resolution on my camera thingy. :dono I don't have a unit that takes any kind of card either. nonono I'm pretty much a Merc 150 canoe, my graphs, well, maybe we'll have to fish for you to see. :yikes They do tell you the depth though
